Ten years ago, I did Taylore’s senior pictures and we had SO MUCH FUN we talked about me doing her wedding someday. Someday became today on June 12th this year, and it was the most beautiful sunny day for a wedding! Taylore and her girls got ready in the farm house at Fieldstone and she did a first look with her Dad on the front porch *tears* ! Thomas and the guys had a visit from Armstrong’s furry mascot, Miss Rosey Allen over at the Drake Cabin. They danced in the fields at sunset and partied late into the night with Steven Vance Entertainment. What a privilege to know such a great family over the years and to get to be there for the most special day for them! I can’t wait to be there for all the chapters of their story ahead.
Armstrong Farms Fieldstone Barn is one of my favorite venues to shoot at! The Allen family has done an amazing job at preserving the beauty and history of the land and these historic structures so that everyone can enjoy them. Barns that once sheltered animals from the cold now are repurposed as a space for families to gather and celebrate some of their most special milestones. Fieldstone is a two story bank barn (this is an architecture style meaning the barn is built into the hill) with a dinner/dancing space upstairs under the vaulted ceiling and a downstairs space with beautiful stone walls for indoor ceremonies or cocktail hour. When the weather is good – there’s a lawn area out back with plenty of space for chairs and an archway for you to say your vows. The farmhouse next door is a great space for the girls to get ready and enjoy breakfast!
Taylore’s Grandma and her Mom helped her into her dress.
These are the moments I LIVE for as a photographer. I want to freeze these little pieces of time and make them last forever.
Thomas and the guys got ready at Armstrong Farms’ Drake Cabin just down the road at their main Bed and Breakfast property. I love farm weddings because they always come with farm animals and this one was no exception. Thomas got a visit from Rosie Allen, the friendliest yellow lab ever. She kept everyone company on the porch and joined in their photos.
Tears behind the scenes between Taylore and her Dad.
The bridesmaids ushered Taylore across the driveway to the ceremony under the cover of umbrellas so no guests would see!
Steven Vance brought his violin and provided music for the ceremony and cocktail hour.
One of the best parts about Armstrong Farms Fieldstone Barn is being able to walk up into the fields at sunset (sometimes you get to see the cows) but the light is always gorgeous!
