The words most spoken that day were “thank you” in every toast, every vow, every hug – they thanked God for each other, for the beautiful weather, for the chance to be together with family and friends, for life. Their wedding was so emotional. Tears of sorrow for loved ones dearly missed, and tears of joy for the power of love and celebration. I am so glad that fate brought this couple into my life because now we get to be friends for life. And I hope even in ordinary days in the future, happy times, or hard days when we miss people we love, that we always make time for champagne and confetti and fireworks and saying thank you.
While Kylee and the girls got ready on one side of the cottage, Michael and his brothers and the groomsmen were getting ready just across the hall on the other side.
Kylee’s Dad and her Grandpa walked her down the aisle past the chair reserved in memory of her Mom, Kristin.
Pastor Ed Newell of Amplify Church officiated their ceremony, and we all cried happy tears and felt a little closer to each other.
Kylee surprised Michael with this scroll hanging from the tree at their ceremony site, “of all the walks we have taken together, this one is my favorite.”
The weather was perfect for a late summer day and guests enjoyed cocktail hour outside under the open sky. Pinehall has amazing outdoor spaces from porches and high top tables, to a comfortable firepit with lots of chairs and lawn games.
Since we popped champagne in this field for their engagement session, we decided to do it again and celebrate by spraying it everywhere!
After dark, Michael and the guys all enjoyed cigars before the capped off the night with a fireworks display and a sparkler tunnel exit! Pinehall at Eisler Farms is a unique venue that can include fireworks in its wedding package without having to hire an outside vendor! The guests loved it and it makes for fantastic photos!
