So much fun they did it TWICE ! After c*^!d downsized their plans last year, this summer it was time to be with family and friends again. And the theme for this day was JOY! Sometimes when it comes to happy things – more is more. Flower girls? They had 8. Pie instead of cake? How about an entire table full of pies. And 2 cookie tables, and an ice cream sundae station? When you got married in a pandemic, with less than 15 people, in masks – your postponed wedding day is all about FUN and celebration! They renewed their vows in front of everyone in a garden ceremony at West Overton Village and guests got to enjoy cocktail hour in the museum with all of the interactive exhibits. I love this historic distillery location for all of the different spaces on the grounds and the stories behind them.
After cocktail hour, everyone walked up to the big barn for dinner, dancing, and PIES made by Jen’s mom. So much love to Kevin and Jen for choosing me not just once but twice for their wedding Three years in the making and years and years of happy things ahead!
West Overton Village is a fantastic summer venue with twenty acres of grounds and multiple indoor and outdoor spaces for your guests to enjoy! Ceremonies can be held in front of the historic house or in the cottage garden like Kevin and Jen did! Once the vows are over, everyone steps across the street and into the air conditioned museum to interact with all of the exhibits and taste some name sake whiskey from the on site distillery! When it’s time for dinner and dancing, it’s a short walk up the hill to the giant brick sided barn that is unique to western pennsylvania.

Who says you can’t be THRILLED to see your husband when you walk down the aisle and you happen to be already married?! Vow renewals are just as exciting as the first “I do” !

I will go to my grave one day knowing I should have eaten more of this pie. I should have taken pie home. It was the best pie I’ve ever had, you could taste the love in every home made slice.
Jen and Kevin decorated the perfect outdoor photo booth space complete with initials and even a ring light and a place to plug in your phone – and then we completely smashed it full of cousins and couldn’t see a thing LOL !
